Divine Appointments With Suffering (2)

You find Me in suffering.
Yet you don’t find Me in suffering.
If you seek suffering
you will not find Me.

Martin Luther sought suffering
and learned it was not the way.
I do offer suffering as a gift to you.
Paul’s thorn a gift to bless him.
I taught him holy indifference.

It’s not what happens but how you respond.
To rejoice in all I give you
whether death or life.
