A Dangerous Personal god

A god who does your bidding.
A god who is your friend.
How can you worship a god
who only is within?

A tame household god
who gives you what you want.
A god who helps you become
whatever you want to become.

Don’t you see seductive sin
of having a personal god?
Don’t you see the danger
of a god you do not fear.
